"Care2 was founded in 1998 with a simple mission: to help make the world a better place.  Today, Care2 is a highly-engaged social network of nearly 30 million citizen activists standing together for good and making extraordinary impact- locally, nationally and internationally- by starting petitions and supporting each other’s campaigns." One of the best resources for armchair activism.

CHANGE.ORG "The world’s platform for change." Another petition site that is an excellent resource for the armchair activist. Have a cause? You can create your own petition at Change.org.

DEFENDERS OF WILDLIFE "Defenders works on the ground, in the courts, and on Capitol Hill to protect and restore imperiled wildlife across North America and around the world. Together, we can ensure a future for the wildlife and wild places we all love." loads of petitions to save wolves and other North American wildlife.

EARTHJUSTICE "True and lasting change happens when the power of the law is on your side. That is why the earth needs a good lawyer." This group is at the forefront of environmental justice world-wide, They have petitions you can sign and/or you can make a tax-deductible donation (501(c)(3 charity) to help with legal fees. There are also a terrific resource for learning about the world-wide environmental issues.

GREATERGOOD.ORG GreaterGood has given more than $40 million to charities around the world since 1999, This is one of my favorite sites. You can help several charities just by clicking a button once a day. By clicking and/or shopping for products (this includes fair trade) you can support ending Hunger, Breast Cancer research, help rescue Animals, support U.S. Veterans,  Autism research, Alzheimer's research, Diabetes research, promote adult and child Literacy, and help save the Rain forests. 

HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN "The Human Rights Campaign is organized and will be operated for the promotion of the social welfare of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. By inspiring and engaging individuals and communities, HRC strives to end discrimination against LGBT people and realize a world that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all."

Water Protector Legal Collective (WPLC) is the on-the-ground legal team for the ceremonial resistance camps at Standing Rock, North Dakota. We maintain a presence on-site and provide legal advocacy, jail and court support, criminal defense, and civil and human rights protection to the Native peoples and their allies gathered there.
